Owns two labradors: Duke (75 lb, 5 years old, black lab, chews everything) and Penny (55 lb, 11 years old, rescue with hip dysplasia). Has tested 40+ dog beds and keeps a measurement notebook.

What We Believe

• Labs chew first and ask questions later. Buy durable or buy twice.
• A bed must survive a 75 lb lab for 2 years. Anything less is a chew toy with a price tag.
• Cheap foam flattens in months, I measure it with a ruler and I've cut beds open to check density.
• The sweet spot for a lab is $150-$250. Below $100 you're renting a bed for a few months.
